Follow Your Nose

April 2, 2008 by Alison

I love spice shops and must add to Shannon’s blog! Spice shops are an endless source of cooking ideas and are usually run by passionate foodies enthusiastic to share their culinary insight. If you ask, they’ll often share a recipe or two.

Experimenting with spices is also one of the simplest ways to get creative when cooking with friends. Visit a spice shop with a friend and it can become the inspiration for your cooking date. Tantalize your senses together and see where the mood takes you. Maybe you’ll be overcome by saffron and cumin, leading you to an Indian feast; or let the some smoky Chipotle chili take hold, making a Southwestern dinner your ideal choice.

Spice shops can be an amusement park of ideas and opportunities. Get on the ride!
