Baking With Friends

May 15, 2010 by evelyn

These last few weeks of school are a great time to host a bake sale for Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale. You might know that Cooking With Friends is a huge fan of SOS and their goal to end childhood hunger. Now, we have our own Baking With Friends page on the Share Our Strength site: http://gabs.strength.org/site/PageServer?pagename=GABS_getinvolved_BakingwithFriends

They even call us “fabulous ladies” (thanks). Especially if you’ve never held a charity event or sale before, we think it’s easier if you bake with a friend! There’s lots more information on the www.shareourstrength.org web site for how to get started. Wherever you are in the country, we hope you’ll join us!

I spent countless hours chopping, sautéing and simmering my way through childhood. And now, with three kids of my own, I’m still chopping, but this time through their childhood and often with friends.
