Good Greens Bars

September 10, 2012 by Alison

I’ll admit, when I first heard about Good Green bars, I was a bit nervous to try them. Made with all natural and organic ingredients including plants and algea — many of which I’d never heard of — Hydrilla Verticilla, Chlorella, Barley Grass, wheat sprout powder — I couldn’t imagine how they could possibly taste good. But boy was I wrong! Good Green Bars are far better for you than other power bars such as Clif, Larabars, and Kind, and are really quite tasty. My personal favorite is the chocolate mint. Many of the bars are covered in an organic dairy free chocolate. Like their website says: “It’s amazing what people will try when it’s covered in organic dairy free dark chocolate!” Loaded with vitamins, protein, antioxidants and probiotics, low glycemic, vegan and gluten free, Good Greens Bars are really a super food snack that should be tasted to believe for yourself.

Here’s a bit from their website:

From children to seniors, we want to supply every body with the vitamins, probiotics and antioxidants that it needs. In a world where there never seems to be enough time to eat healthy, Good Greens is here to remedy the fast food situation. We offer you real whole food, natural and organic bars that taste delicious and give you the energy you need to take on the day.

Disclosure: I accepted a complimentary sampling of Good Greens Bars, agreeing to try for myself and review them only if I found them favorable.

About Alison J. Bermack

It all began when I was a child cooking with my dad, the kitchen a magnet for cooking and camaraderie, a refuge from adolescence. I spent countless hours chopping, sautéing and simmering my way through childhood. And now, with three kids of my own, I’m still chopping, but this time through their childhood and often with friends.
