Maybe it was the cover of this delightful and delectable new book which lured me at first glance. Perhaps it was the freshly sliced figs which caught my attention and brought me back to lazy days filled with figs and fun summering in the Algarve. From tantalizing figs to a pot of braised vegetables, Tara O’Brady is a woman after my own heart. We share similar cooking styles, influenced by our heritage and other cultures, improvisational in nature and always using what’s fresh. She also incorporates stories which provide perspective and insight into each colorful recipe. I will most certainly use this book as inspiration in my own kitchen and would recommend that you do the same.
