Uncommon Goods — Review and Giveaway

September 28, 2016 by Alison 66 Comments

infuserDISCLOSURE: I was given these products for no cost in exchange for writing a review. I only review those products I can do so favorably and omit others.

Tell me by leaving a comment below what you’d like to buy at Uncommon Goods and you’ll be entered into this giveaway for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Uncommon Goods.

Uncommon Goods is exactly what the name says. It’s an online marketplace to buy unusual items. I like perusing the kitchen section since you never know what kind of fun items you’ll discover. I tested two products and and recommend them both. For those of you who can’t quite get the knack for hand roping empanada dough, the Empanada Fork is just for you. empanada-crimperJust press down atop your dough and you’ll quickly seal the edges of your pastry. It’s certainly a time saver and every second counts! The other product I really liked the Press and Measure Herb Infuser. Simply place some herbs or chili peppers into a good quality olive oil, let it sit for a few days and you’ve got some pretty good oil for dipping.

It’s a fun site to stroll around, especially if you’re in need of a unique gift. Get an unusual one for your hubby too! In fact, make sure to check out their Kitchen and Bar section. There are also many cool gifts under $50. I particularly like the hot sauce making kit and had a blast making various hot sauces with my youngest son. There are some amazing cheese platters and serving dishes made out of unusual materials. Take the tree ring serving board or Pete the Pizza Man for instance! You’ll find some whimsical and colorful gifts at Uncommon Goods.

Tell me what you’d like to buy at Uncommon Goods and you’ll be entered into this giveaway for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate.

About Alison J. Bermack

It all began when I was a child cooking with my dad, the kitchen a magnet for cooking and camaraderie, a refuge from adolescence. I spent countless hours chopping, sautéing and simmering my way through childhood. And now, with three kids of my own, I’m still chopping, but this time through their childhood and often with friends.
