Uncommon Goods is exactly what the name says. It’s an online marketplace to buy unusual items. I like perusing the kitchen section since you never know what kind of fun items you’ll discover. I tested two products and and recommend them both. For those of you who can’t quite get the knack for hand roping empanada dough, the Empanada Fork is just for you. Just press down atop your dough and you’ll quickly seal the edges of your pastry. It’s certainly a time saver and every second counts! The other product I really liked the Press and Measure Herb Infuser. Simply place some herbs or chili peppers into a good quality olive oil, let it sit for a few days and you’ve got some pretty good oil for dipping.
It’s a fun site to stroll around, especially if you’re in need of a unique gift. Get an unusual one for your hubby too! In fact, make sure to check out their Kitchen and Bar section. There are also many cool gifts under $50. I particularly like the hot sauce making kit and had a blast making various hot sauces with my youngest son. There are some amazing cheese platters and serving dishes made out of unusual materials. Take the tree ring serving board or Pete the Pizza Man for instance! You’ll find some whimsical and colorful gifts at Uncommon Goods.
